Volunteers

We invite you to join our vibrant group of volunteers who keep San Diego Writers, Ink alive and well and thriving. Simply put, without the active participation and commitment of volunteers, we would not exist. Volunteering is a great way to meet and mingle with other writers and to claim SDW, Ink as Your community.

SDW, Ink has several volunteer jobs available—ongoing assignments and one-time-only events. None of these are paid positions, but what you earn in good karma you can take to the bank.

Kim Schultz is our Volunteer Coordinator
A former technical writer, Volunteer Coordinator Kim Schultz now writes fiction instead of instruction manuals for nuclear waste storage test equipment. Her stories appear in Volumes 1 and 2 of A Year in Ink; she is currently working on a novel.

Ely Rareshide is Special Events Volunteer Coordinator
Ely Rareshide, a native of New Orleans, moved to San Diego in 2006. In her day job as an engineer, she analyzes predicted and actual energy production of wind farms. She has been writing since college when email was much cheaper than long-distance phone calls. Her work appears in San Diego Writers, Ink's Anthology, A Year in Ink and on First Friday's audio compilation CD. 

Sybil Hunt is Writer's Salon Volunteer Coordinator
Sybil Hunt is a San Diego instructional designer, writer and training facilitator. She consults with corporate clients to craft learning materials that focus people on the essentials while inspiring them to build and maintain strong communities at work and beyond. She enjoys finding unique expert speakers for our monthly Writer's Salons and facilitating the energetic dialog between our members and guests.
