Everyone has an idea for a movie. But most don't realize how much rides on a good screenplay. Your average Hollywood film costs at least fifty million dollars to produce and market. Therefore, if you REALLY have an idea for a movie, it better be good. So what separates the 99 mundane ideas from the ones that win Oscar gold?
Join us for this fast-paced, all-day workshop to find out. Hollywood Story Analyst Mike Stern will reveal what elements your stories need to make it onto the silver screen.

In this enlightening and energizing workshop, he will clearly lay out how the Secret of the Three C's -- concept, character and construction can help you find the commercial and screen-worthy elements from your lives, dreams, short stories and novels. He will then demonstrate how to develop these ideas from concept to full-blown story providing dozens of new techniques to turbo-charge your creativity and help you craft intriguing narratives for the screen.

Mike Stern is an award-winning writer and filmmaker. He served as Story Analyst for Sony Pictures Entertainment and then with William Morris Agency providing coverage and analysis for such films as "Monster," "Something's Gotta Give," "Elf," "Everything is Illuminated" and "The Interpreter." Mike left WMA to pursue his own writing and filmmaking endeavors and to independently offer script analysis and development through his company The Script Reader.  Some of his successful clients include produced writers, Emmy winners and television show-runners.
