We did it before, we can do it again!
Join the Inksters for our second annual Write-A-Thon, a 9-hour non-stop, write 'til you drop, benefit fundraiser for San Diego Writers, Ink.

Featuring The Red Hot Ink Spot Digiteers and Their Flying Fingers —Judy Reeves, Steve Montgomery, Nicole Vollrath, Billy Hughes and other creative writing instructors with 9 hours of writing exercises and cheerleading to keep your ink flowing and your ideas rolling.

How It Works
• Writers of all levels and genres are invited to participate. No experience necessary. (Minimum sponsorship $100 to participate.)
• Register online via email and we'll set up a Sponsor Pledge Site where your sponsors can make their online pledges - OR - if your sponsors want to pay by check, download our Sponsor Pledge Form and collect checks directly from your sponsors, then bring the completed forms and checks with you on Write-A-Thon day.
• Set your sponsorship goal, challenge your writing friends, ask everyone you know, ask them to support you in your writing & your writing community.
• Sign up as many sponsors as you can who will support your efforts to raise funds for San Diego Writers, Ink. (Suggested minimum sponsorship $5/hour for as many hours as they want to pledge.)
• Meet at The Ink Spot at 9 am Saturday, March 28 for a full nine hours of writing madness ending with a free-for-all pizza party celebration.

What We’ll Do
We’ll work from writing prompts • Focused free writings • Writing calistenics • Word games • Character building • Work on your own project; this year we've set up a special place for all you solitary writers who want to work on your own • Write with your laptop, in your journal, or use your writer’s notebook

Bring your story ideas • Write a rough draft • Write a poem an hour • Write in your journal • Write your novel • Write a letter home • Free-writes • Craft an article • Blog the day

*We're also looking for volunteers to help make this an even BIGGER Write-A-Thon than our first, and it was awesome! email Judy Reeves if you can volunteer. We need friendly, enthusiastic volunteers who will help get prizes for our drawings and giveaways, sponsors for refreshments (lunch! Pizza party!), and to help us set up and take down the day of the event.
